UpManagement
Leadership

01 / Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, UpManagement
Alexandra Pohl is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of UpManagement, an infrastructure, real assets and specialty capital company. UpManagement is the parent of seven companies: Keystone (data centers), Blueprint (real estate software), Hearth (senior living and medical facilities), Span (telecom infrastructure), Bastion (defense and national security), Crucible (life sciences capital) and Guild (education and workforce). Alexandra leads it on the conviction that mission-critical infrastructure rewards operators who plan for decades and run for uptime.
Raised in a real estate family, Alexandra built early mastery in capital strategy and asset performance. She earned dual undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Exercise Science, competing as a Hall of Fame dual-sport NAIA D1 athlete, then deepened her competitive discipline through martial arts and an MBA in Global Business Management. In the private sector, she spent seven-plus years at Toyota and Danfoss applying lean and TPS methodologies to complex multi-site operations: at Toyota she compressed project timelines and eliminated workflow waste; at Danfoss she standardized KPIs and tightened variance-to-budget across international programs. She then spent eight-plus years in senior U.S. federal leadership on regulatory and infrastructure matters, and has personally directed $300 million or more in development and capital programs. At UpManagement, her federal infrastructure and regulatory experience is a direct fit for data centers, telecom, senior living and defense.
UpManagement keeps its own name, brand and program, works from its offices in Dallas, Washington, D.C. and Houston, and shares one platform for finance, compliance, legal, technology and operations. At UpManagement, Alexandra Pohl is Chief Executive Officer and William Pohl III is Chief Operating Officer; Alexandra chairs its investment committee and William is Co-Chair. Where there is a fit, and under the platform’s conflicts policy, UpManagement works alongside ERTH Volta on power, Cotra on housing and PitcHouse on real estate software.
Alexandra runs UpManagement’s seven companies on one shared-services platform and one reporting standard: uptime, occupancy, safety, margin and capital spend against plan, reviewed monthly. Regulated businesses, from senior living licenses to defense security requirements, carry their compliance plan from the start.
Alexandra’s profit-with-purpose ethos holds that well-run businesses create value for the people they serve, the teams that run them and the capital partners who back them – simultaneously. Outside the boardroom, she channels that ethos through her lifelong passion for animal rescue, supporting shelters and rescue organizations because she believes leadership is measured not only by returns but by the lives improved along the way.
Alexandra co-founded UpManagement and built it on a single operating spine – standardized diligence, one reporting standard and shared services – so what is learned in one company sharpens the next.
Alexandra runs infrastructure for uptime and safety first, because the people who rely on it cannot afford a bad day.
She reports to investors the way she reports an operating asset – same metrics, same cadence, same candor. Expectations are written down before capital is committed, and no one is surprised at the board table.
The businesses UpManagement owns and backs house, power, connect and care for people. Running them well means safer buildings, more reliable service and stronger communities.
Alexandra brings a global lens on markets and capital, then executes locally through hands-on partnership with every team.
“Infrastructure rewards the operators who plan for decades and run for uptime.”
Alexandra Pohl
“Seven companies, one platform, one set of numbers.”

“We run on the same numbers, reviewed the same week, every month. No one is surprised at the board table.”

02 / Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, UpManagement
William Pohl III is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of UpManagement, an infrastructure, real assets and specialty capital company. UpManagement is the parent of seven companies spanning data centers, real estate software, senior living and medical facilities, telecom infrastructure, defense, life sciences capital and workforce education. William owns the operating side: building and integrating the seven companies, their sites and their shared services.
William grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, watching his father build one business after another: a CPA firm, real estate companies, a roofing company and a collector car dealership. His father gave him one rule he still runs on – never quitting gives you an advantage over 99% of the people. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from American Public University and joined his father’s firm, Trustpoint Financial Corp., in 2001 as a project manager on job sites across the eastern United States. By 2005 he was Managing Partner, running the firm’s residential real estate funds, and through the 2008 collapse he kept building, bought while others sold, gave investors the hard truth before they had to ask and kept his team together. He went on to found Tetra Homes Inc. in single-family (2011 to 2015) and Majorwave Corp. in multifamily (2015 to 2021), acquiring whole neighborhoods and multifamily communities and repositioning them into places people wanted to live. Over two decades, his 20 residential real estate funds and his companies delivered more than 10,000 homes and apartments across eight states and Washington, D.C., and he never ran a team larger than 25 people. At UpManagement, he brings that build-and-operate experience to data centers, towers, fiber and senior living.
William leads UpManagement’s builds from the site up: power, permits, equipment and schedule. He knows that projects rarely die on the plan – they die on the power, the equipment and the buyer who won’t go first – and he spends his time exactly there. Teams stay lean, senior and accountable.
William’s advice to every team he leads is his father’s: don’t quit. Outside the office, he rescues dogs – Cookie, Willow, Bleu and Ghost – and supports animal rescue, grows exotic fruit trees that have no business surviving an Ohio winter, and builds AI systems and websites late at night.
William takes ownership of whatever the work needs, from the first site walk to the last line of the budget.
From homes to data centers, William builds what people rely on – on schedule, on budget and built to last.
He backs people before plans. A strong plan in the wrong hands stalls; the right team finds a way. He looks for hustle, grit and honesty, and he gives the same back.
He built through the 2008 housing collapse, bought while others sold, protected investors and kept his team together – the steadiness he brings when a market turns.
More than 10,000 homes and apartments delivered without ever running a team larger than 25 people.
“Projects rarely die on the plan. They die on the power and the equipment. That is where we show up.”
William Pohl III
“Build it to last, then run it like someone depends on it, because someone does.”
William Pohl III
“Never quitting gives you an advantage over 99% of the people. My father taught me that, and I have built every company on it.”

03 / Chief of Staff, UpManagement
Infrastructure leaves little room for loose ends, and neither does intelligence work. Suebina Wong is a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the wider Intelligence Community: twelve years in all, six on active duty. As a Senior SIGINT Geospatial Analyst she led a mission team whose work fed Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn in Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom and the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. She later built the skills of over 1,000 intelligence professionals throughout the federal government, a background that carries real weight in UpManagement’s defense and federal work.
Today she is Chief of Staff at UpManagement, the infrastructure and real assets group behind seven operating companies: Keystone in data centers, Blueprint in real estate software, Hearth in senior living, Span in telecom, Bastion in defense, Crucible in life sciences capital, and Guild in workforce education. Working with Alexandra Pohl, Chief Executive Officer, she sets the group’s leadership cadence and runs the monthly operating reviews in which each company reports uptime, occupancy, safety, margin, and capital spend against plan.
Between those two chapters, Suebina built a real estate career that kept her on national top-agent rankings for five years running. Her work centered on acquisitions, breaking into new markets, and repositioning assets in high-pressure cities, experience that applies directly to a group that buys, builds, and operates the facilities people depend on.
She serves as the connection between the Office of the CEO, UpManagement’s offices in Dallas, Washington, D.C. and Houston, and the leadership of all seven companies.

04 / Head of Investor Relations, UpManagement
Data centers, telecom networks, defense facilities, and senior living communities are critical infrastructure, and the investors who back them expect the discipline that comes with it. McCory King spent a large part of his career where that discipline is the norm: as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, he led high-consequence initiatives and information security work that demanded discretion and precise judgment.
Today he is Head of Investor Relations at UpManagement, the infrastructure and real assets group behind seven operating companies: Keystone in data centers, Blueprint in real estate software, Hearth in senior living, Span in telecom, Bastion in defense, Crucible in life sciences capital, and Guild in workforce education. Reporting to William Pohl III, Chief Operating Officer, and working with Alexandra Pohl, Chief Executive Officer, he represents UpManagement to limited partners, family offices, institutional allocators, and strategic partners.
His job is to connect the figures each company reports every month, from uptime and occupancy to safety, margin, and capital spend, with the strategy behind them, so investors understand both the results and what is driving them. Earlier in a career of more than 20 years, he advised Fortune 500 companies and state clients on treasury services at Bank of America, which grounds his view of risk and operations in financial services.
McCory earned a Master of Science in Intelligence Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus, after a Bachelor of Science in Communications at Old Dominion University.

05 / Head of Research, UpManagement
Few research leaders in infrastructure and real assets have worked inside a biotechnology manufacturing operation. Joe Tobin, Head of Research at UpManagement, spent ten years there. UpManagement is the group behind seven operating companies: Keystone in data centers, Blueprint in real estate software, Hearth in senior living, Span in telecom, Bastion in defense, Crucible in life sciences capital, and Guild in workforce education.
Joe reports to William Pohl III, Chief Operating Officer, and works with Alexandra Pohl, Chief Executive Officer. He builds the sector research, market data, and return models each company relies on, and his laboratory background gives Crucible a research lead who can evaluate life sciences opportunities from the bench up.
As a biotechnology subject matter expert in gene and cell therapy protein purification, Joe rose to lead manufacturer and department supervisor. He set priorities, built his team’s skills, and guided technical decisions with data, and his department oversaw the development and distribution of more than 20 drug molecules for patients in critical condition. Clients came to rely on his clear, candid explanations of complex science. Over the past 12 years he has also produced and directed live sports entertainment events across the country and in international markets.
Joe is a 2015 graduate of Towson University, where he earned a biochemistry degree with honors. He is a dedicated bodybuilder and enjoys paddleboarding and creating epoxy resin art.

06 / Office Manager, UpManagement
UpManagement’s companies include a defense business and a workforce education business, and its Office Manager knows both worlds firsthand. Julia Tripline is an Air Force veteran who has managed training programs for hundreds of people. UpManagement is the group behind seven operating companies: Keystone in data centers, Blueprint in real estate software, Hearth in senior living, Span in telecom, Bastion in defense, Crucible in life sciences capital, and Guild in workforce education.
Julia reports to William Pohl III, Chief Operating Officer, and is assistant to him and to Alexandra Pohl, Chief Executive Officer. She runs the office and front desk, answers the main line, and coordinates schedules, travel, and expense reports for leadership across the seven companies. She also manages the office’s vendors, supplies, security, and equipment, and she leads onboarding so that each new team member starts the same way.
During more than eight years of service spanning executive aviation, global operations, program management, and organizational leadership, Julia supported senior national and military leadership on domestic and international operations, working in sensitive environments that called for discretion and precision. She learned to anticipate evolving needs, coordinate across organizations, and stay effective under pressure, a background that fits the defense work Bastion does.
In instructional and leadership roles she ran training and qualification programs for hundreds of personnel, and she collaborated with senior Air Force leadership on workforce development, organizational improvements, and the launch of a new aviation career field. That background in building how people are trained connects directly to Guild’s mission in workforce education.
Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology and an Associate of Science in Space Technology, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Intelligence Management. Originally from Oregon, she enjoys traveling, running, baking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her two dogs.
